A man has died and two children have been injured in a crash in the southern Cairgorms, Scotland.
The one-vehicle collision happened at around 4.20pm Sunday on the A93 at Spittal of Glenshee in Perth and Kinross.
A 23-year-old passenger died at the scene and two children – aged seven and five – were flown to The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, for treatment.
The 31-year-old driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The road remained closed on Sunday night while officers carried out an investigation.
A police spokesman confirmed the death and told local press the passenger died at the scene.
The crash prompted the closure of the road in both directions late Sunday.
Tayside Police warned motorists to avoid the area.
The force tweeted: “A93 Spittal of Glenshee is currently closed in both directions due to a crash involving one vehicle.
“Motorists are asked to seek an alternative route. Thank you for your patience.”
